Staff from Pinsent Masons’ Edinburgh & Glasgow helped with a spring clean of the Water of Leith on Earth Day this year. 29 staff members put waders on and helped the Water of Leith’s Conservation Trust remove over 30 bags of rubbish from the river to keep it litter free, giving nature it’s best chance. The Water of Leith Conservation Trust works to conserve and enhance Edinburgh’s main waterway, its heritage and wildlife, delivering around 240 river clean-ups annually with the help of volunteers and community groups.
In March Pinsent Masons volunteers joined Wheatley Homes’ Neighbourhood Environmental Team for a community clean-up day at Beachfield Court, Dunfermline. Around a dozen volunteers from the firm took part in planting, garden maintenance, litter-picking and weeding as part of Wheatley’s Spring into Action campaign. Russell Munro, Partner at Pinsent Masons, said: “We do a lot of work with Wheatley in Scotland, and community activity is an important part of how we work with our clients. We were delighted to support work in the local area, helping with litter-picking and gardening to improve the environment for residents.”
The Spring into Action week ran from 16–20 March 2026, with around 120 volunteers from Wheatley’s suppliers and contractors participating across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dumfries and Galloway, and central Scotland.
