L’Appel de Paris

17 December 2015

Following on from the historic resolve made at the Paris COP21, LSA members are encouraged take up the call to “non-state actors” by French Foreign Minister Laurant Fabius to pledge action on climate change – the so-called “L’Appel de Paris” or Paris Pledge for Action.

This represents a unique opportunity for law firms, amongst many other organisations, to welcome the Paris Agreement on climate change and commit to implement it.

The pledge demonstrates that non-state actors are ready to play their part to support the objectives of the Paris Agreement. By joining the pledge, businesses, cities, civil society groups, investors, regions, trade unions and other signatories promise to ensure that the ambition set out by the Paris Agreement is met or exceeded to limit global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius.

See details and sign the pledge here.
