LSA Teaser for November – Answer
The waiting is over!
After an 18 month campaign and at the end of the 800 year anniversary of the Charter of the Forest, 6th November 2017 sees the launch of a new Charter for Trees, Woods and People to build on the lasting legacy of the Charter of the Forest. It’s been a full year of events and activities and the LSA has been involved in a number of these, launching an anthology of new writing by poets to celebrate trees and woods (available here), taking part in a debate on the cultural and social impact of Trees at the British Library and publishing our own guide for law firms on the Tree Charter with 10 tips for legal practitioners on how to incorporate the new charter into everyday working life. Click here to download a copy of the guide.
There is still time to get involved and sign the Tree Charter – over 100,000 signatures have been collected and that means over 100,000 new trees will be planted in the UK this year. Sign here if you haven’t already done so.
