Reducing single use plastics

The LSA is looking hard at how we can encourage and support our members in reducing their dependence on single use plastics and other non-renewable resources.

At the recent LSA Summer event hosted by Taylor Wessing, Emily Penn, Ocean advocate artist and skipper of all women crew on board eXXpedition talked about her life, her inspiration and the massive challenge facing us all as we try to tackle the plastic tsunami that is flooding our oceans. Recorded live at the event, you can hear a short Planet Pod podcast by clicking this link which gives an insight into what inspired Emily to take on a life of advocacy on behalf of the planet ocean as she would call it. Emily is about to lead another eXXpedition to the North Pacific – follow her voyage here. She has promised to talk to us when she gets back.
